An Article that made my Blood Boil

Sorry – But this really made me angry – What a terrible article .

I don’t know about you, but I am so fed up #SpoonieShaming & it sadly often comes from the community itself (who should know better), as well as the people who have no reason to try to understand the horror we live.

Let me put people straight!

We don’t want sympathy (Its a non-productive emotion)

We don’t want “miracle cures” (believe me, we’ve researched EVERYTHING a million times more than you ever could)

We don’t even want empathy (we would never want you to feel like we do, not even for 1 second)

Many of us just want people to read-up and try to understand the struggle…

Some of us, try to get the truth out there

This article has made my blood boil!

If you want to find out more about the real challenges of living with an illness like Fibro /CFS /ME etc – read a few of these –

  1. I agree. It saddens and angers me that such harmful misinformation persists about ME/CFS. There’s so much good, accurate information out there with new discoveries being made all the time. There’s just no excuse. Excercise does nothing but further deplete cellular energy stores in dysfunctional mitochondria that take far too long to replenish. There are things that can be done to improve the condition, but there is no cure. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight, for yourself and the community! ❤
